IEAC Student-Athletes of the Week 3/20 - 3/26

ANNABELLE AMADOR | COD
SOFTBALL

Annabelle Amador was 4 for 8 for the week, hitting .500, which included a walk off hit against Chaffey College. Amador, an outfielder out of Shadow Hills High School, currently leads the conference in hits. In addition to her walk off hit, Amador also threw a player out at home from center field and made a game saving diving play in center field. 

MARISSA MARQUEZ | CHAFFEY COLLEGE
SOFTBALL

Against Desert, Marissa Marquez helped the Panthers hold the Roadrunners scoreless through 8 innings (5 outs including 1 double play).  Marquez, a sophomore out of Upland High School currently has 19 RBI’s (#3 in the conference). She also has 2 home runs, including one against LA Harbor College on March 25.

ANA GASTELUM | MSJC 
SOFTBALL

Freshman Ana Gastelum comes from San Jacinto Valley Academy. The 5’6 utility player had a great week hitting .833. 3 RBI’s, and 3 runs. Gastelum also played 3rd the first game and came into pitch the second game against VVC striking out 2 hitters. An incredible athlete, she has a tremendous glove in the field and on the mount. 

 

SEREYA DIAZ| SBVC
SOFTBALL

Sophomore Sereya Diaz was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 runs, a walk, and an RBI against Cuesta College in their doubleheader on Saturday. Diaz is currently ranked #11 in the state for runners caught stealing.
