Right handed pitcher Nathaniel Mendoza (San Bernardino Valley College) and freshman outfielder Tito Hernandez (Cerro Coso College) have been named the IEAC Players of the Week (February 17 - February 22). 

Mendoza, a sophomore out of Oak Hills HS threw a complete game shutout (5-0) vs. Victor Valley College on Friday, February 21 (4 hits, 9 strikeouts, 1 walk). "Receiving this award means a lot to me because of all the hard work I've put in during the off season is starting to show," states Mendoza. "I worked on having a clear mindset and to focus on throwing strikes. I want to continue growing as a pitcher and for my teammates to have the confidence in me every time I'm on the mound."

Hernandez, a freshman out of Bonanza HS went 7-11 with 4 doubles, 1 home run, 7 RBI's, and 4 runs scored.
"I'm thankful for this award and hope to continue being successful throughout the season," states Hernandez. "Our team needs to continue playing hard, stay mentally focused, and stay healthy."
