With the conclusion of the 2022 Baseball season, we have the privilege of celebrating six Rams who have been selected to the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) All Conference Team. Coach Adam Santa Cruz remarked "I'm so happy and proud for these athletes. They have worked so hard on and off the field. The amount of work needed to achieve these accolades goes unnoticed for a majority of the season, so its a great feeling when the people that worked hard get rewarded."

Freshmen outfielder, Orbein Hernandez-Silva (Las Vegas, NV) was honored with one of the Gold Glove awards for the IEAC. Hernandez-Silva had 97% fielding percentage, a total of 25 runs, and 18 RBIs for the season. 

Sophomore DH, Hunter Santos (Fontana, CA) and freshmen pitcher, Trevor Russell (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) were selected to second team all conference. Santos played in 37 games, hit .317, with 34 RBIs for the season and lead the team in SLG (.504). Russell played in 19 games, pitching a total of 73 innings for the Rams.

Three Rams received Honorable Mentions, (Zackary Toohey-Ross, Gabriel Villa, and Rhese Gomez). Freshmen Toohey-Ross (Lake Elsinore, CA) played third base for VVC in a total of 25 games and hit .310 for the season. Catcher, Villa (Chino, CA) lead the team in batting with an average of .333 and on base percentange of .452. Gomez (Ontario, CA) played his sophomore year for the Rams scoring 23 runs.

We take great pride in honoring these athletes. "Each and everyone of them deserve these awards and coaching them this year has been a complete honor. As a first year head coach there are usually a few rough edges but these guys were there to help support me and the team. I will continue to recruit athletes that have the same characteristics as these young men, so that VVC Baseball is a program other schools remember." Coach Santa Cruz stated.
