Eighteen Panthers named to honor team - Arreola Player of the Year

Congratulations to the 18 student-athletes named to the 2019 All-American Metro League honor team.  Leading the Panthers was two-time Offensive Player of the Year and state stat leader, sophomore quarterback Caleb Arreola.  Arreola was also honored at last Saturday's bowl game as the game MVP.  Also making a repeat appearance on this year's team were Nick LawsonIsaiah Coleman, and Javian Lofton-Wilson.  Lawson was the American Championship Player of the Game and has been an SCFA honored player twice this season.  First team honors also went to Kevin MarroquinRuben SaraviaShakell BrownTyler SweetFrancisco JimenezZen Gonzales, and Almani Bishop.

Head Coach Rob Hadaway was named Coach of the Year for the second time in his seven season leading the Panthers.  Under Hadaway's direction, the Panthers have captured three conference championships and made five bowl appearances.  The Panthers hold the current record for longest winning streak in the state at 21 games.  The record-breaking 2019 season was the Panthers' first "perfect season" in recent history.
