San Bernardino Valley College defensive back Montre Moore made it official Tuesday, signing his national letter of intent to join the Missouri Southern State University football team this year, becoming the latest member of the Wolverines to make their college choice after a successful 2019 season.
Quarterback Jeremy Moussa was named co-Offensive Player of the Year and 16 other San Bernardino Valley College players were recognized by coaches on the 2019 All-American Mountain Conference team.
Brett Virgil and Steven Bradshaw were named Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year in the American Mountain League as 14 Eagles were honored with all conference designations.
Congratulations to the 18 student-athletes named to the 2019 All-American Metro League honor team. Leading the Panthers was two-time Offensive Player of the Year and state stat leader, sophomore quarterback Caleb Arreola. Arreola was also honored at last Saturday's bowl game as the game MVP. Also making a repeat appearance on this year's team were Nick Lawson, Isaiah Coleman, and Javian Lofton-Wilson.
The Panthers capped off their record breaking season with a 33-20 bowl win Saturday at San Bernardino Valley. The win gives Chaffey their first "perfect season" in recent history and the title of longest consecutive winning streak in the state at 21 games.
For the second straight year, the San Bernardino Valley College football team went to the American Championship Bowl.
And, for the second straight year, a rough first half left the Wolverines chasing the game. This year, the opponent, Chaffey, slammed the door in the fourth quarter, squashing a comeback attempt to beat SBVC 33-20 in front of almost 2,000 fans at SBVC Stadium.
The MSJC football team, led by a great effort from their defense came up five points short on Saturday in the Western States Bowl in Santa Maria as they fell to Allan Hancock College 14-9.

With a piece of the Mountain Division championship already sewn up, the San Bernardino Valley College football team knew all it needed was a win over College of the Desert Saturday night to secure a trip to a bowl game for the second year in a row.
The MSJC football team won with a two point conversion in overtime Saturday afternoon at Citrus, to finish the season 8-2, and earn a bid to the 2019 Western States Bowl.
COD (1-9; 0-5) in a season of "almost's" and "what if's" the season came to an end on Saturday, as the Roadrunners hosted their final contest of 2019, falling to the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines (9-1; 5-0), 38-0.
